25 enthusiastic entrepreneurs in National Landscape Middag-Humsterland received the certificate of participation in the course ‘Ambassadors of the landscape’ from the Zuidhorn alderman Fred Stol yesterday in the church of Harkema.
Special landscape
The course was about the special nature and landscape values and the development of Middag-Humsterland. The participants were diverse: from Hotel Aduard to Camping de Roode Haan. The purpose of the course was to provide the tourist entrepreneur with more baggage so that they can better inform guests and visitors about the special landscape.
Different themes
During the afternoons various topics were discussed. This included the geological history of the area, block lots, flora & fauna, sustainable business and tourist-recreational opportunities in the area. The participants were also put to work. So they had to come up with a tourist package. During the course participants not only learned about the landscape of Middag-Humsterland but also got to know each other better. This resulted in making agreements for cooperation in the future. The course was organized by the IVN Consulentschap Groningen on behalf of National Landscape Middag-Humsterland.
